mhs homes staff are Making a Difference
Our staff have been making a real
difference at work according to their colleagues. Five members of
staff from across the group were presented with Making A Difference
Awards by mhs homes Director, Terry Burton.
The awards were presented to
Repairs Data Analyst, Tony Shew; Rents Manager, Pauline Prothero;
Housing Officer, Angela Ewen; Environmental Services Officer, Kirit
Patel and Support Officer, Anna Paton. Each winner was praised for
going that extra mile and making a real difference to the working
environment at the mhs homes group.
The winners were nominated by their
own colleagues and were presented with a trophy, a gift of a trip
away worth £75 and one day’s annual leave. mhs homes Building
Manager, Peter Vye nominated Tony Shew, he said, "Our customer
surveys show that repairs is the most important issue for our
customers and as a result we are constantly looking at ways of
improving efficiency. Tony has made an outstanding contribution to
efficiency savings in his work and deserves recognition for
this."
Tony said, "I was very surprised
and grateful to win a Making a Difference Award. It’s nice to know
that my colleagues think I’m worthy of this award. Looking at the
list of previous winners on the silver tray I received shows what a
high standard these awards are. To be thought of in the same regard
as them is a real honour. I’m thinking of spending the prize on a
balloon flight over Leeds Castle."
