mhs homes employees recognised for their hard
work
Four members of staff were
recognised for their hard work and special efforts by mhs homes
residents at an awards ceremony, held at our head office
recently.
Caretaker, Dave Roberts, Supported
Housing Officer, Karen Aldrich, Housing Officer, Sally Thomas and
Welfare Benefits Advisor, Catherine Ayling all received "Employee
of the Year Awards" from mhs homes Chief Executive, Ashley
Hook.
mhs homes has been running the awards
which are nominated by residents for the last seven years. The
winners are chosen each year by tenant representatives on the Board
of mhs homes. Forty-seven nominations were received this year and
four were selected by Eileen Kenward and Pat Austin to receive
special awards.
Dave Roberts was nominated by
Wilhemina Utchanah from Bryant Street, Chatham. She said, "I’ve
never seen such a hard worker as Dave, it’s like he never rests.
However busy he is, he always stops with a smile to listen to
whatever you have to say, he really deserves his award."
Dave was really surprised to be
presented with his trophy. He said, "It’s lovely to receive this
award, especially when it has meant that a customer has taken the
time and effort to nominate you. I’m just doing my job but it’s
nice that people have recognised what I do every day."
