Meet mhs Links Support Officers
mhs Links has a team of 12 Support Officers and 3 Team
Coordinators. These Support Officers make up three teams that cover
the Chatham, Rochester and Strood and Rural areas. mhs homes own 21
sheltered schemes that are spread across these areas.
The Support Officers work Monday to Friday between the hours of
8.30am to 4.30pm (4pm finish on a Friday). Medway Tele Healthcare
Service operates the Lifeline service 24 hours a day. They
will contact the Support Officers during working hours if they are
needed to attend an emergency all other times are covered by mhs
homes management call out team. There is no longer residential
Scheme Managers living on site.
The Support Officer carries out headchecks at each scheme on a
Monday, Wednesday and Friday to check on the wellbeing of the
residents. Regular reviews of the service users needs are also
carried out by the Support Officer on a six monthly basis, or
sooner if support needs change.
